New York City: A 4 Day Itinerary.

Day 1

I arrived in New York around 4 pm, took the subway and arrived at my Aunt’s house around 5:30 pm. (Me and my friend got lost at the airport twice. That’s why it took so long. Hahaha!) By the way, as soon as we got into the subway station, I bought the $31 Metrocard- which is an unlimited one week pass to New York’s transit. It was an awesome deal.

(The attractions are put in order, from places we visited first to last)

  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Times Square

Day 2

  • New York Public Library
  • Walked around 5th Avenue
  • St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • *Top of the Rock (Great view! You can see the Empire State Building and Central Park from here. ~$30)
  • Central Park
  • Flat Iron Building
  • Washington Square Arch
  • “Fiddler on the Roof” – Broadway
    • Note: There’s a lot of last minute ticket sales for Broadway shows. Go online and check it out! We got ours for $35.

* Sadly, I wasn’t able to try Top of the Rock due to crappy weather. I didn’t want to spend $30~ and see a foggy New York. Huhu.

Day 4

  • Battery Park (Where you can find the ferry to go to the Statue of Liberty.)
  • Ate at Rice to Riches
  • Little Italy

OR, just visit

  • Statue of Liberty
    • $18, ferry to  Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Apparently, it runs every 20 minutes.

* My flight to Saskatoon for my cousin’s wedding was on Day 4, around 7 pm. I needed to be in the airport around 6pm, that’s why we weren’t able to go to the Statue of Liberty. Plus, I heard that the wait time can be horrible and it can go up to a few hours wait time. But if you hate lining up and waiting, apparently you can take the Staten Island Ferry (FOR FREE!) to get a nice glimpse of the statue.
